A father’s gift I'd never forget
Captured me from when we met
Tough blue, like the ocean I love
And a sad sombre silver like clouds above
Writes thoughts of pleasure, pain
Anger and joy felt
A deep indent where a light once shone
Now the space is exact to an aged candle, unlit and forgotten
A feeling of accomplishment as it was handed to me
Happy memories of someone who I love so much
Writes all of my problems with any issues I may have
Carried with me through hard times of the past
A licence of writing I had accomplished
To use a pen as my weapon of choice
The key to a writer’s emotions
Makes permanent memories like a tattoo
A pen that has sent me into a writing spree
And due to it’s personal past, will always be a part of me
