Claws prick my back like needles,

My grip on the wall fails.

A giant’s eye stares up at me,

A god, deceived and betrayed.

Tiger’s fangs reach up,

Shrouding me in the darkness.

It is warm.

It is safe.

The child I leave behind follows me soon.

Outside, I hear banging.

Then the world ends.
