A Stroll Through the Gardens

Another bright sunny day in Queensland,
strolling through the Botanic Gardens.
walking into the entrance,
greeted with a sight of magnificent tropical plants,
bin chickens everywhere!
Walking into the first aisle,
I catch a view of leafy trees, bushes and birds gliding by,
I look down, I see a jungle like wooden platform, like a bridge.
Long, tall skinny palm trees, taller than my house.
I look up higher,
I see palm leaves, a summer frog green.
Long and wide, but thin.
As I walk on,
I hear more colourful birds glide by,
squawking and chirping in my ear.
It’s so loud!
Nature is a great way to get away from things.
I do appreciate it.
Can’t wait for the next time I visit.
