A Tree's Hope

My coat surrounds me,
trapping me in.
But I need to fly,
spread my wings so high in the sky,
breathe the fresh air and grow like a tower,
sprout out of the ground so no soil is in sight,
I have come from down under, but I will grow to be huge.
My journey will be long and hard,
but my spirit will drive me,
and I will end up with the others.
I won’t be stuck under the dirt,
my days of being insignificant and isolated will end,
I will be a home and breathe life to all.
For me to die all the world would follow,
I will last forever,
never perish,
instead thrive, helping all life,
I will be happiness, calm, and life,
I will be a tree.
