The seed flies through the air as if it has no weight
Slowly descending onto the ground
Sinking into the wet earth
Its roots extend all around
As it grows, its mighty arms reach to the greatest heights
Its leaves rustle in the breeze
Birds make their nests and sing their songs
The tree stands tall and proud all alone
Providing air for the living things around it
Suddenly, the deathly sound of
                                                            CHOP, CHOP, CHOP
Echo around the land
The once majestic tree now lies in pieces
Its roots are torn, its trunk is split
The tree is chopped down, its wood gathered with care

Transformed into something that's beyond compare

A table, a chair, a bookcase, a bed

Or a frame for a picture that's above your head

It becomes the foundation of our homes

A shelter from the rain, a place to roam
