Eternal longing revealed in his eyes,
His expression, dulled through time.
Thorns in his heart makes him a cold man,
Stress marked by wrinkles etched into skin.
He stands, still and mute,
Fingers stiff from keeping clenched fists,
Lips curled upside down, eyes welled with tears,
A grimace of pure pain forms.
Deep in thought for centuries,
Memories from the past haunt him,
Guilt devours him whole,
All hope was lost long ago,
Emotionally and mentally exhausted,
Depression sucks all the soul out of him,
Silent mourns escape him,
Breaking the deafening silence,
Laughter is a distant memory,
He who has forgotten the meaning of joy
Has been abandoned, isolated,
Waiting for another eternity to pass.
