Alone

I found it covered
In years of dust
But it still shone
In the bright sunlight.
It was placed in my mother’s room
With walls now bare
That once contained
Abundant memories and Japan’s worries.
It fits perfect
Like Cinderella’s shoe
But its shape reminds me of the ocean,
A dolphin; イルカ.
The eyes shine in mine
Bright pink even though
It has suffered many years;
Many years alone.
