Miserable—cold, wet and miserable

I sit, waiting for the bus

Raindrops tumble down my cheek

Grey, gloomy and gusty; the wind howls around me

A puddle forms underneath my cold soggy feet

Brown mucky water runs down the drain

the sky turns greyer

the rain falls heavier

Crashhhh, the thunder enters the sky unexpectant

the lightning blinds me

thunder rumbling up above me

I enter the bus, the warmth shivering through my bones

silently, listening to the radio

A trail of brown muddy footprints follow behind my tracks

people slowly leave the bus

The acoustic shocks of the storm deafens the commotion around me.

I watch the raindrops slide down the window

Squelch, squelch, squelch

The water in my shoes float around my toes

As I walk home alone in the storm.
