soon this whole mountain will be engulfed in snow
leaves ripped off trees                                                                                           
left grey and white                                                                                                   
the sun beating closer than ever                                                                           
the grass a lighter brown than ever                                                                 
views across the valley                                                                                           
vast and lifeless                                                                                                   
only tiny birds and rabbits                                                                                     
Mount Nelse                                                                                                             
silenced and cold                                                                                                 
but beautiful                                                                                                             
moreso at night                                                                                                 
freezing and dark                                                                                                   
the trees bright and white from the moonlight                                                   
the black night sky lit up by sparkling stars
