Ancient Trees are Gone

Trees are in the ground, 

Forever stuck in place,

On a mound,

In the ground,

Producing air, except in space,

Making sap, very sticky,

Lots of leaves,

From which it breathes,

Falling over when cut down,

Ancient trees are big.

Home to many animals, 

Many big, and some small,

Some that fly,

Some that try,

Making noise for all to hear,

Eating food, leaving a mess,

Leaving home,

To go and roam,

Dying off because of us,

Ancient trees are gone.
