Australians all let us rejoice,
But what have we got left to sing for?
For we are young and free,
Yet our emissions and habits only grow old.
We've golden soil and wealth for toil,
Our soils aren't so golden but damaged, drought and flood stricken.
Our home is girt by sea,
A surrounding waves of accumulating plastic.
Our land abounds in nature's gifts,
Gifts that are short-lived, materialistic and not worth the pain.
Of beauty, rich and rare
What riches shall we have left if we continue our current ways?
In history's page let every stage,
What's in the past is done and what matters it what we do now.
Advance Australia fair,
To be proud Australians we have to do our part towards saving the environment.
