The sunkissed trees swirled in the tranquil wind

Its ancient bark shedding and falling like raindrops

Beside the olden beings was a crystal clear lagoon

It flowed gracefully like a dolphin leaping across the ocean

Above the delicate lagoon was an eagle soaring through

He flapped his wings through the sapphire skies

The golden sun illuminating his body while he glided

As his adventure ended, he descended and perched on a leaf

Even a simple brown leaf has a story to tell

It winded its way through all the lands we call home,

Through the eucalyptus trees and past the king kookaburras

Its final destination was a meadow of endless dandelions

In the field of countless blooming flowers,

Lay numerous wild animals frolicking in the yellow fields

The joeys jumped joyfully and the ibises soared to the clouds

As they scattered and scampered, they caught the footsteps

These footsteps belonged to human beings

The destroyers of their once luscious emerald land,

Which faded into nothingness and the critters called out

And they all shut their glossy eyes for the final time.
