Bozo Blueberry

Thirteen years ago, a distressed mother
With a baby girl who suffered a broken heart
Buys a little monster
A teddy with a smelly belly
He was the colour of the deep blue ocean
meeting the mountainous terrain of the rainforest
And had a smile that spread across his face
A deep black smile that went on forever
He had a unique softness
That demanded a hug
And bright eyes that warmed the heart
And a smell in his soft belly
A scent of a batch of warm blueberry muffins
He spills the word 'love' into your heart
And thirteen years after he was found
His belly still smells as strong and as sweet
As the day he protected the little girl
