The ocean breathes

Water creeps up the shore under a silver-blue sky

Wind blows around the lighthouse

Sea salt fills your nose as you lean over the railing

The ocean breathes

The ocean screams

Waves crash over jagged rocks under a thunderous sky

Wind, wild and blustering, whips around the lighthouse

Curls of smoke, thick and suffocating, block out what could’ve been the sun

Something foreign tumbles

down

        down

                  down

Into the depths

The ocean screams
