Breathe In Breathe Out

The gum trees rustle with the spirit winds, tickle my skin
The flowers sprout as the bees come flying for their nectar
Breathe in
The sun gives me warmth sinking into my skin like water to a sponge
The clouds block the sun from burning me to a crisp
Breathe out
Years roll by
One blink, two blinks
My eyelids detach from my eyes and reveal a whole new world
All the trees crumbled to dust
The sun replaced by oil pollution
The flowers are dead, crushed by raining pillars of brick
That stand before menacing buildings.
Breathe in
It’s all just a dream Lucy, it’s not real
But it is
The whole Earth, the planet ruined by us humans
Rubbish crumbled on the rough-ish ground
Time, our time, is running out, she’s our responsibility, our heart
Breathe Out
There is no Planet B
