Towering trees brushed the sky,
While gentle birds soared up high.
The river wound between the trees,
Glistening under the whispering breeze.

Roots dug through the moist soil,
As fuzzy ferns curled in a coil.
Animals thrive in these parts,
If only we realised, in our hearts.

Help us help us pleaded the wind,
Knowing that the forest has thinned.
Axes swing once again,
Careless about the forest's pain.

What's going on?
The animals are gone.
Lets undo a mistake we made,
Bring back the forests that Earth laid.

By myself I can’t do a lot,
But together we can make a good shot!
There's still a chance to bring them back,
Now all we need to do is take a crack!
