His body as Brown as the dirt underneath our feet
On his body lives a purple woollen jumper with a hood
His mouth and nose are threaded with brown string
His eyes as dark as out of space.

His snout is as pointy as an ice-cream cone
His buttons are as hard as cement
He is mistaken for a puddle of mud
His hood covers his eyes so they don’t burst in the sun.

I ask him as he flops to the ground,
‘What does it feel like when you fall on the ground?’
As he answers he thinks about the question
‘It feels like nothing because I am so soft’ He answers.

If he got destroyed I would be terribly sad
I would never have the same connection
Some people laugh at him and call him scrap
But it is impossible for me to express how much I love him.

I have nurtured him in my arms since I was born
He has nurtured me when I have been sad
His size is like a shoe box that is where he sleeps
I call him my scruffy, little, fluff ball.

He is mine, all mine and no one can take him off me
He is my friend, he is my school
He is my family, he is my love, he is my heart
I care for him, I love him and I live for him.

He is Brown Teddy!!
