Bug

Why don’t you love me?
I do so much for you
But all I get in return
Is bug spray and getting stepped on by boots
Why don’t you love me?
I am alive and have feelings too
I fertilise your soil making it soft for planting
You kill me as if I did bad things to you
Why don’t you love me?
We break down organisms and recycle nutrients
We make healthy soil to help plants grow
But in the end, we’re bugs – what do we know?
Why don’t you love me?
No, really, why?
Please help us
Before our species dies
