Awaiting your presence on those dreary days
he remains tranquil and silent
calming you like a melodic phrase
unmoving all day, but very compliant.

Laying softly atop your bed
the cheetah sleeps all day
not a stir, not a sound
nor disturbance comes your way.

His eyes gleam like the stars
when you simply stare,
he amends your soul’s scars
you are just, by looking, completely stripped bare.

His soft, petite figure
cannot be compared
to a fur coat of silver
he’s more golden and short haired.

The stuffed little cheetah
is a protector, always around
comforting you, to wiping your tears
he is truly a king, everyday, hands down.
