Coin of Luck

Held for the first time
feels like something out of this world
I own the world with this coin
crystal surrounded by copper
shaped like an octagon coloured in gold
sitting like a hermit
nobody knowing its there
in the corner
charm of luck
a joy-maker in my hand
once shiny and new
now dismal dreary and drab
but still special...important
bringing warm memories of the giver,
my uncle, living far away
my lucky charm

This coin is special to me because it is a coin from Singapore and given to me by my uncle who I rarely get to see.
