The colours that surround me
That I see every day,
Have etched themselves into my very being,
These memories will never pass away.

The beautiful hues of autumn leaves,
The yellows, reds and browns surround me,
In their endless beauty,
The trees tremble in the cold as far as I can see.

The cyan blue sky,
Grasps me in its gentle hands,
As cold drops of rain wet me back to reality,
I stare as the rainbow emerges, and the whole world
stops to see its colourful bands.

The blooming flowers around me,
Present their bright lilacs and violets,
When I lie down, they tickle my bare face,
Making my joyous laugh shatter the everlasting silence.

O colours of the world,
May I thank whatever created you,
‘Cause you soothe my heart
Every time I see you
