I close my eyes and imagine
the places I've been to in a dream.
The lush green grass and sparkling sky,
they’re happy places I deem.

I look up to the bright blazing sun:
saffron, amber and scarlet.
Shining bright, with all its might,
until the sky turns starlit.

The deep blue sea smiles at me,
showing its pearl white teeth.
While the waves roar and crash,
into the world beneath.

Through the lemon and pink of afternoon light,
black shadows dance on the wall.
invading light’s territory,
but still standing proud and tall.

O colour of my imagination,
beautiful bold and bright.
O colour of my imagination
to live without you would be a blight.
