Like skinned, silky milk the yellow sand lays under the surface of the lake

Humans holding teeny tiny lanterns swaying in the breeze

The furry caterpillar's skin scraping the dirty ground

Surrounding the beautiful, shattered lake

the moonlit sky shining down upon us

stronger than the city light,

stronger than six pack knights

The silver patterns among the gold glistening stars

As I lay on the grass and look deeper and deeper,

further into the dark sky,

I start to close my eyes and I dream about dancing through the night,

jumping from start to star,

exploring the moon,

but if these following generations don’t pay more attention to nature’s secrets, mysteries and hurt

we will lose it all.

But at night nature’s another mystery greater than the city or electricity.
