Dawn

Clouds shaded with pink
Reflect on water’s mem’ry
Dusk of rose and gold
The aura of life
New beginnings; as the sun
Sinks below the waves
At last it is heard
The sweet, trickling sound; laughter
Taunts imperfection
As day turns to night
As the stars light the dark, the
Pale moonflower blooms,
Simple moonflower
Soft-spoken, graceful in hue
Calmly sways with wind.
