Consuming his body
Inching up his cheek
Unstoppable
A plague of new life

He will resist
Though the invader
Will tamp his throat
Silencing his protests

Hushed, he stands
Lonely, disrupted
Succumbing to the depths
Wavering as the seaweed

The wild sea threatens his view
Manipulating his mind
Converting his soul
To the concrete surroundings

Soon, he will fade
Transforming
A dark man
To a brilliant flash of colour

Accepting his fate
Defeated by sorrow

Sinking deep into the ocean
Creatures will pass him
As though he isn’t there
He never even existed
