Stories told, stories shared
Remembering Great Pop forever
As a brave boy who was scared
Paper bound in green leather
Written in lead between pages
Banded with a stretched elastic
Generations it engages
Frank Alfred Thomas Naveau
Stories told, stories shared
Remembering Great Pop forever
As a brave boy who was scared
Across the sea to Egypt
Precious to our whole family
Passed down to his great granddaughter
Remembering happily

Stories told, stories shared
Remembering Great Pop forever
As a brave boy who was scared
Anzac Day 1916
The tunnels they dug were not measured
In the war they stood, a minute silence
Those who died they remembered
Every day he worked
Pellets of bullets shot the sky
Horses and tents he assembled
In the heat of Egypt, they fry
Frank Alfred Thomas Naveau
Stories told, stories shared
Remembering Great Pop forever
As a brave boy who was scared
On December 25th,
Christmas Day had no parade
“Dull windy day”, he recorded
Experiences, they prayed
