Dive

A green-blue expanse of water
Sea creatures swim in their underwater kingdom
I leap into the other world
Bubbles bouncing in my ears
The first entrance washes away fears
Everywhere I look a new wonder awaits
A clear blue sapphire lays before me
A treasure found, the sea
Pause swim up for air, then dive down again
Transported back to the amazing place
Wishing for gills to stay forever
Whoever created it was truly clever
Fish zip around as if in a race
A look of excitement etched on my face
So when I leave, in my dreams
I'm back
In the ocean.
