Dolly

Dolly sits there on my shelf shoved in the corner safe and sound
Her silky dress is a bright as the sunshine of happiness
Her eyes glitter in the sunlight
Her bottom of her dress is ripped
I remember looking in the window of an antique store
Pulling on my aunt’s arm “Please, please, get me that doll”
When she’s in my arms I feel like five years old again
Looking in her eyes bring back pleasant memories.
