Stuck at home, locked down
Everyday comes at the same pace
My mind lingers all the time
Dreaming of driving South

Looking out the car window
At the grasses thirsty for spring
At the horses resting beneath the eucalypts
At the birds flitting between burnt trunks
The wild is regenerating

Last year the flames devoured hope
But now I see shoots of green sprouting
I am so proud of my friend
Nature

Perhaps I can learn from her?
