Dusk, Dawn and In-between

The sunrise greeted me in the morning,
The day has started bright and clear,
The sun peeked through the clouds
Announcing that today was here.
Slowly the sun lowers behind the hill,
Captivating colours showcase the sky,
The man in the moon shows his face,
Stars twinkle and shine up high.
The sound of frogs croaking echoes,
The gentle sound of a babbling creek,
Swoosh! An owl flies silently across the sky,
Eyes on a delicious prize he seeks.
A fox communicating with others,
Their ear-piercing scream cuts through the night,
The nocturnal species come out,
A different world at night.
The moon whispers goodbye for now,
Bit by bit, night comes to an end,
Diurnal animals wake up
Time to repeat the day again!
