Elly the Elephant

Elly is my elephant
She is very delicate
Elly looks like a fluffy towel to me
Which has been familiar ever since I was three
Elly smells like a cinnamon twist
Or even a nutmeg scent if I must insist
Elly sounds like baking a strawberry cake
Or glitter in a craft that we can make
Elly feels like a Boab tree from where she hails
Or even a pine tree that we pass when we go to collect the mail
Elly tastes like orange soap
If I feel sad she helps me cope
Elly is so small she can fit in a clutch
I love Elly very, very much
