An eternal warmth hugging my finger,

A small band of light in my inner darkness,
Securing me to happiness like a tight harness
Reassuring me the feeling will always be there,
The feeling of being held dear through the deepest despair.

Even on the days I don’t feel at all,
This light is enough to make me feel tall.
Merely gazing on your precious gift,
Is enough to make my darkest thoughts lift.
