When I go out into the outback

Look at the gravel dirt road under my feet

At the huge mountains forever there, beyond the horizon

At the sunset sky, a blooming flower made of flame

Smell the wattle, now blooming on the trees

The eucalyptus leaves that koalas chew, heavy with morning dew

The freedom that my lungs absorb, craving it, living by it

Feel the wind, now a light breeze

Blowing a strand of hair that tickles my cheek

The heat from the hot earth

Seeping through the soles of my shoes

But the one unique feeling I get

Is indescribable - beyond pleasure, beyond adrenaline.

I can only say

That it is wonderful, majestic, unforgettable

Supernatural

Extraordinary
