The little glider jumps and leaps and scratches on the roof,

A feathertail glider is no bigger than a boot.

The bird, foxes and habitat disturbance,

Makes it hard to run on the surface.

The older woods and trees are the homes gliders find endearing,

But they are the ones that are thrown first for land clearing.

So we have to step up and help the unique fauna of our Australian home,

Don't let their habitat be overrun with rubbish and foam.

Let’s bring the reality out from the dark,

So the glider itself can be seen, not just their mark.

Habitat destruction is not good for anyone involved,

So let’s work out ways our declining glider issue can be solved.
