Fierce Forest

Vines sway in the distance like a cradle.

Trees hide in the mist like shadows.

Moss covered rocks, forest green and slippery.

Birds chirp loudly like a musical theatre.

River’s rough rapid speed makes water trickle.

Luscious leaves crush under my feet.

Rivers flowing across the stream.

A glorious forest, majestic and proud.

River reflects like a mirror.

Inside - fish, eels, turtles, frogs live

Water churns with delight.

Eagles in the sky take flight.

Branches as tall as skyscrapers.

Wildlife all around.

What is that sound?

Insects finding food and shelter.

Bees busy pollinating.

Late at night bats flutter and click. 

Deafening hum of cicadas.
