Fire

Bang! A strike of light.

It thunders to the ground. Red

and orange spread like the wind. I sprint

behind my canine family through the grassy fields.

Snap! I yelp as my tail is caught in a trap for strays.

I bark. My family tries to help, but pointless

as it is, I gaze back at the memories

as the red and orange engulf me

to numb-less pain.
