First baby shoes

My first baby shoes are as pink as a flamingo,
And as firm as a rock
Beautiful and bright, as they stand on the grass
They are as clean as glass.
Shining and sparkling in the sun light,
As comfortable as a pillow.
Soft and rubbery like a dolphin,
They are as warm as a spa.
Little and pretty like a garden full of flowers,
It is as protective as my family.
As light as a feather,
I bought it from a baby boutique in Maitland.
I played games with them on,
Such a special gift that I still have.
I got them for my first birthday party,
Walking all day and lots of photos taken.
I wore them with pride on my special day,
As good as new but they mean so much to me.
I was chasing my dog with them on,
The best and most beautiful things must be felt with your heart.
