Flying Fox

Listen to this poem about a small flying creature,
Its silver-grey belly is a rare unique feature.
It's noisy and loud like a big party crowd,
The flying fox stands so ready and proud.
With small ears the flying fox can slightly hear,
As the head is as round as a sphere.
Their teeth are as sharp as a nail,
And their weight is 710 grams on scale.
They feed on small insects found on twigs,
Look out for flowers that are very big.
Like rustling and crunching leaves,
So do look after them pretty please.
The flying fox is rare and unique,
Look after our forests every week.
This tiny creature so meek and mild,
May you ever fly free and fully wild.
