Autumn
Finally, the overcast season of summer is gone.
Welcoming the chilly wind and cloudy months of autumn.
The gums and orchids in the bush and the ferns in the forest
Starting to lose their colour and leaves.
The winter is coming.

Winter
The crisp, cold, frosty mornings of winter are here, and in the bush, the magpies sing a beautiful winter melody.
In the chook shed, the chooks slow down the laying of eggs, although some birds in the bush are getting ready to lay their eggs.
Everybody is waiting for the perfection of spring, waiting . . .

Spring
As the year changes to the season of spring, flowers and other plant species start reviving their fascinating features.
The weather is perfect for playing in.
But the perfect weather doesn’t last long.

Summer
The horrible, hot weather is still coming in summer.
My Dad is a scientist/biologist/CEO at a CMA and he takes us fishing on Dja Dja Wurrung land and we catch cod, carp and perch.
We go to the bush and walk, looking at scar trees that were cut a long time ago
In late February a new season comes, autumn again.
