Forest

The trees, my life feels complete with that sound.

You're calming and will always be there for me.

You provide life for everyone around,

Without you, our lives would be incomplete.

Your leaves, they glisten when covered in dew.

I love to stare at you and forget.

Your aroma I can smell, I know it's true,

I will stare at you when it's dry or wet.

I can hear your branches sway in the wind,

All life stops out here, not a car in sight.

I need more time with you, some more I will spend

Poking through the trees is a sun so bright.

We love you lots, but you are almost gone,

Why are you so prone to death and destruction?
