Forest trees swaying in the summer breeze,
Flowers are blooming in the spring sunshine,
Fruits born silently- arranged with lush leaves,
The undergrowth crawling- under some pine,

The fire begun it started with a spark,
Flames began spreading roaring in the night,
Screeching and growling escaping at dawn,
The life once thriving- destroyed in one night.

The skies once dazzling now flowing with clouds,
The trees once mighty- now scorched with grey ash,
Creatures once happy, now without their friends,
Grey undergrowth, piled with soft flaky ash.

Lush tender leaves emerging from the ash,
Life restarting for the inhabitants.
