Four Seasons

Dancing petals sway in the breeze
Among green grass, pristine
The sun on valleys looks heavenly
Endless fields of colour and joy
Such a vibrant world, far as can see
I want to revel in the feeling
Leaves crunch like bones,
Parks full of dying green
The wind howls, the start of a storm
My empty heart falls into the whirl
Of this dying world, silent as the grave
I cover my ringing ears, drown out the noise
A blanket of white
Stark figures of trees
In these dark days I wandered
Lonely as the branches, clawing at nothing
In the bleak world, nearing the end
I look back on days that I cannot see
Among all the casualties there is life
Days I longed for, hope and peace
The dew on buds and the grateful seeds
All around the glowing world
I finally feel at ease
