Free falling

Today was the day
We went out to canoe
In the tropical forest of charataniska
Majestic water pools

The excitement and adrenaline was rushing through me
Like a wave in the ocean
Today was the day
That would change my life completely
And how I spent my days on earth

Today was the day I would never forget
Though the waves screamed and roared
I just ignored, I was full of joy
Until we came across a steep, sharp, echoing cliff

My heart beat increased rapidly
As if I were drowning, I couldn’t breathe

Today was the day I never thought I would die
Even though I was afraid I knew that I lived life well
But now I am gone vanished without a trace
As if my life meant nothing

Goodbye home goodbye earth
Now up in the soft marshmallow clouds
Standing by the golden gates of heaven
