From Island To Feigned Oasis

The sea sparkling under the scorching sun.
Waves invade the helpless beach, then retreat.
Dolphins leaping out of the sea, what fun,
Hermit crabs scuttling ‘round in a small fleet.
A gentle breeze, like a baby’s breathing,
Shells aplenty garnishing the island.
Some rocks of agate shaped in a wreathing.
From afar, a beach before green highlands.
The eternal scenes live on like the gods;
How the animals and land get along;
From the friendly dolphins living in pods,
To the deadly sharks with sharp teeth so strong.
Except the beauty and peace weren’t maintained;
The island razed to build an oasis that’s feigned.
