Honey-sweet melodies fly overhead

Strong rainbow feathers cloud high in the sky

A symbol of peace washes away dread

The calm stream colored like blueberry pie

The crowded undergrowth alight in sun

Little paws pattering in the warm dirt

A pointed nose poking out just for fun

Jumped from a round rock, squeaking though unhurt

Fluffy or spiky, they make no escape

Under the watch of a newly born leaf

Or maybe a lily, bent out of shape

The fluttering moments, go by too brief

I watch from the window, as nature thrived

A world full of life, of which we’re deprived
