Fate is governed; always controlled.
Never roams free, for its power I withhold.
I guide its strength, manipulate its power
Into paths of will, ever changing, hour by hour.

Yet I am indefinable; instead I exist
As a byproduct of chance; a mere factor of fate.
For this, I grow without mercy
Without restraint.
Unrewarding, are my paths of fate
Presented to all those I hate.

Only when they finally suffer
And accept my overruling will
Will come the only time
I won’t harm till my fill.
They should be wary
Of the powers I possess.
Not all so ignorant
And believe I to be less.

Chance is but my chorus
And fate is but my fist,
But if it is against me that they discuss,
And claim my might weak against, say, Horus
Then they’ll soon find themselves at the wrong end of my list.

I care not the name I receive, nor the chores to which I’m assigned
As long as they believe of me, and acknowledge my strength of mind.
For I go by many names, being within the stars
Directing the Chinese Calendar, and others near and far.

I am the hope, I am the threat,
I am the chance that not all will get.
I am from the stars; source of the power they hold
And for all of eternity, I’ll only favour the bold
