Gaia

From mother Gaia came the earth,
From Uranus the stars,
And on this land she gave birth,
To rolling hill and flower.
The twisting trees bear no scars,
Every valley shook with mirth,
There was no need to claim it ours,
Every night a star stained shower.
But mortal men made of mud,
Chose instead to spread desire,
For our veins held dirtied blood,
Our souls as black as coal.
We used our hands to start the fire,
That consumed us like a flood,
No you don't mess with Mother Nature,
For she can dig into your soul.
