If this glass giraffe did break
it’s little heart would surely ache,
pieces would fly everywhere
the giraffe would feel despair,
so please don’t drop this small giraffe
my father said with a laugh.
and as he gave the giraffe to me
I said ‘sure!’ and took it glee.
I promised it would never fall
or break, or smash, or be hurt at all,
but soon after I dropped it
the pieces flew and split,
my father attached them with some glue
and then it looked as good as new,
It doesn’t matter how big or small
a problem can always be fixed after all.
