Gliding far, gliding near,

Gliding where it’s clear.

Knowing they’re susceptible,

We can’t be disrespectful.

Round, fluffy, grey gliders

Have survived bushfires.

Staying near eucalyptus trees,

And really loving the cool breeze.

At night they climb up high,

But are super shy.

What gives them away is their shiny eye,

That’s why they live up in the sky.

Petauroides is their scientific name,

And some have been caught in a flame.

As the largest gliding possum in the world

And have a tail that is very curled.

Saving them from extinction

Because of habitat destruction.

Giving money to restore their habitat

And glide like a cute bat.
