As I stroll through the woods, I look at the tree

The tree where sugargliders

Once lived free

He points and says:

"That was my home. My family's home. My ancestor's home."

Tears run down my eyes

It wasn't fair

To all these people and animals who once lived free

Down by the creek, he points and says

"I'd swim here. Every day. It was this very creek."

Tears run down my eyes It still makes me sad

Even though he takes me to this creek

Every week

As we stroll through the woods

We look at the tree

The tree where koalas

Once lived free

The tree where my family

Once lived free
